Project Offshore is a Reeling Hope initiative dedicated to expanding access to the outdoors by creating ADA-accessible fishing docks and shoreline fishing opportunities for disabled veterans, individuals with disabilities, and people of all abilities.

Through partnerships with state parks, local communities, conservation agencies, and public funding programs, Project Offshore works to remove barriers that prevent many individuals from experiencing the therapeutic, recreational, and social benefits of fishing. Our goal is simple: ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the water, connect with nature, and participate in outdoor recreation regardless of physical limitations.

Fishing has long been recognized as a source of healing, stress relief, and community connection—especially for veterans navigating the challenges of service-related disabilities. By developing safe, accessible fishing infrastructure, Project Offshore creates welcoming spaces where veterans, families, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities can share meaningful outdoor experiences together.

Each dock and access point is designed with inclusivity in mind, providing greater independence, safety, and accessibility while preserving the natural beauty of our public waterways. Through collaboration, advocacy, and community investment, Project Offshore is helping build a future where outdoor recreation is truly accessible to all.

Because access to the outdoors shouldn't be limited by ability—it should be available to everyone.
